This fourth Meson release for Discus Music is a piece which was road tested via a handful of gigs before being committed to recording.
Bo writes “Having heard Joe’s post-rock bass for several years (resulting in brain-goo on carpets in dank venues) and, more recently, Ellie’s jazz vocals tickling my earish brain in a most earnest manner – I started to think that the next Meson album, taking shape in what I laughingly call my mind, should wander musically off the path already mystically trod… They agreed.
Blending Walt’s chess-like percussion and Martin’s dervish multi-instrumentalism to the melange meant that my lyrics flowed off the page in ways that made me supremely pleased. We hope that you enjoy, or at least withstand, the assault.”
