“Packed with psycho-lounge atmospheres, enticing sounds between liquid and scratching, and well thought out quasi-narrative developments, the album immerses the listener in enveloping volutes of sound, amid melodic suggestions and robust quasi-punk waves.” – A G Bertinetto, Kathodik
Two new tracks on 10” VINYL (plus download once the vinyl is sold out) in a strictly LIMITED EDITION of just 50 physical copies, signed and numbered.
As vinyl lovers from our younger days, Discus Music always hoped to revisit the format when economically viable and here is a “toe in the water” release. If it’s a success, more may follow! It features 2 tracks by Das Rad, especially recorded for this project – “Qul Na Qar” and “Alysum”. Individually hand-cut and checked by a local lathier, the package will include gifts such as hand-made origami and signed sleeve liner.
The music continues to progress from the sounds heard on the trio’s first two full length CDs, this time with each side of the vinyl occupied by a 7 minute “mini-suite” packed with detail and full of interesting twists.
Nick Robinson – guitars, keyboards, electronics
Martin Archer – woodwind, keyboards, synth bass, electronics
Steve Dinsdale – drums, keyboards, electronics
The British trio come out with this interesting short record – two songs/suites from about 7 minutes each – which offers an impro-progressive Sheffield-style instrumental rock. Packed with psycho-lounge atmospheres, enticing sounds between liquid and scratching, and well-congeniated quasi-narrative developments, the album immerses the listener in enveloping volutes of sound, amid melodic suggestions and robust quasi-punk waves. – A G Bertinetto, Kathodik
You can buy your CD or DL either direct from Discus Music or from Bandcamp. The prices and the postage charges are the same on both sites, but Bandcamp will charge you VAT on DL only purchases. Whichever site you choose, the DL element is delivered to your Bandcamp collection.
Discus pays a 10% commission to Bandcamp on sales there, but if you buy direct from Discus Music we get to keep 100% – which of course we prefer! But in the end, please buy from whichever site suits you best.
